Jörg Reiprich, Head of Application Technology, summarised his experience in several areas. On the one hand in the press section sector, where he spoke about the optimisation possibilities for increasing dewatering and thus saving energy for the customer, or in the field of application rolls, where he highlighted the potential for extending the service life of application roll covers, particularly in film press applications, and finally reported on his positive results from the SchäferRolls service programme.

Frank Kretschmer, Product Manager, presented the new Schäfer Rolls Management Service — SRMS. Mr Kretschmer explained the effective use of sensors using a case study to optimise slippage problems on screen drive rolls.
